Memorial Day
03:17
|

I think Im feeling another one. Weve got no maps and we've got no guides.
I should've known the world could flip as fast as it did.
Currently, looking back at the crux of it.
A pin drop of ignorance started with the knee to his neck. Whoa!
Thats Right, and you know that's right.
I thought I told you not to strike down that man again.
Fear is a bitch and I'm aware of that.
But what's worse now is that we're giving it back.
The point of this is to inform ignorance that leads you to prove your innocence.
So much can change the state of things if we allow it to happen.
The point of this is to enjoy and coexist.
So take a breath and walk this earth with respect.
Now you know this voice will not be silenced again.

Again I'm dwelling on my past as if that's going to change the facts.
And every time I go back I fly right off the track and into the black.
Balance can be achieved through discipline and consistency.
Through everything that I've learned I believe that its all been earned.
As these pages start to turn I see clearly.
From my knees - I hang my head, your eyes flood my face with shame.
It's time to face my greatest fears and accept who I became.
Transcribing scriptures from my childhood.
These words in stone: misunderstood.
As the past will forever remain the same.
Through sweat and flame I'll forge my own way.
I look up, and with my hands I make a fist.
That's built on courage, respect and loyalty.
I will share compassion patiently and shed resentment and let the waves take me.
Let them take me where Im supposed to be.

Adapt
03:06
|
|||
You helped me find my way. Relentlessly there for me.
And when the weight on your shoulders almost breaks your back you don't collapse. You adapt.
Together we embark on this journey.
We have always had the drive to make a difference. And there's no way I could ever miss this.
I can recall who I was before you.
I just want you to know I adore you.
And I would do anything for you.
Reflect an ocean of respect.
In the hands of fate do you believe that we create our own way?
When they crack this time capsule wide open to learn from the past and see the origin, we'll have etched our own truth on the sides of these stones.
When the time comes I'll help you find your way. Relentlessly there for you.
And when the wight on my shoulders starts to break my back I won't collapse. Ill adapt.

Thus Far Minneapolis, Minnesota
Thus Far is a group of friends who have played in bands before like Vessels for Our Ghost and Purga. Born out of an organic will to create music together, we created Thus Far. During a pandemic, we found a way to track some songs, drink some beers and have some fun. When we can, we will start playing shows. Before that, we will try to keep pumping tunes out! ... more
